Cream tea to say thank you to volunteers for their amazing work

Cream tea for Volunteers to say 'thank you' for their amazing support

Celebration was part of Volunteers Week, to acknowledge the incredible input of volunteers at the hospice

It was cream teas all round as more than 60 volunteers gathered at the hospice for an afternoon celebration to mark the huge contribution volunteers make to the work of North Devon Hospice.

The event coincides with ‘Volunteers Week’, a national initiative to recognise and thank the work of the volunteering community across the UK.

Hospice CEO, Stephen Roberts said “Our volunteers do such amazing work day in, day out and without their support we simply wouldn’t be able to offer the wide range of services that we are able to provide. We have around 550 volunteers working across a wide range of areas in the hospice and together we ensure that our patients and their families facing a life limiting illness are able to get the vital care that they need. We are immensely proud of our volunteers and are extremely grateful for every bit of support they continue to give us. Our event today gave us an opportunity to say thank you to some of our volunteers and let them know just how much we appreciate them”.
