We rely on the support of local companies to provide our specialist care and support. This can be anything from corporate donations, gifts in kind, volunteering of staff time or sponsorship of our many high-profile fundraising events. Not only does your company's support make a real difference to the hospice, it also gives you many benefits.
Working in partnership with North Devon Hospice is something many local companies have benefitted from. As well as the knowledge that your support is helping us care for local people, there is a raft of other benefits for your company such as:

There are a number of ways you can get involved as a Corporate Supporter:
Charity partnership (for a year or longer!)
Nominate us and encourage your employees to raise funds. There are a number of ways in which you can do this, all of which encourage staff to work (and even socialise) together. The benefit of a long-term partnership allows more opportunities for positive exposure and to engage more staff in different activities. This is a fantastic way to become involved with the charity because the ideas are limitless! We will provide you with your own tailored calendar of ideas and events for the duration of the partnership.
Gifts in kind
The hospice has been supported by a number of local businesses through the donation of goods or services. For example, if we have needed T-shirts for a fundraising event, a local T-shirt company might donate them to us as a gift in kind. It would save the hospice money and allow exposure for the company. We also have many companies that donate their expertise, such as the creative agency Bray Leino. This is also valuable as it allows the hospice to access services without incurring cost (helping us to plough even more funds into our care services) while the company gets to demonstrate fantastic corporate social responsibility. Staff very much enjoy lending their time and expertise to the hospice, as they can easily see the benefits of doing so in the patients and families we care for.
We run an ongoing events programme, ranging from small, local activities through to larger regional and even national occasions. These offer wonderful publicity opportunities as well as the chance to get your company involved in really fun events. Choose an event that appeals to your demographic and will help you access the right audience.
Help us promote, or even take part in, our series of events. From bike rides to big breakfasts, there are plenty of ways to raise money for North Devon Hospice - including organising your own fundraising events of course. Encouraging staff to take part in our events is a fun way of boosting morale and promoting team-building outside the work environment.
A tax efficient way of giving! Make a regular donation that comes out of your pay packet. Crucially, it is taken out before tax, so your donation is worth between 20% - 40% more to the hospice, at no extra cost to you! It is easy for companies to sign up to Payroll Giving and they can then encourage their staff to opt in and donate an amount every month to the hospice. Over the year you would be surprised how much these contributions add up, and this provides opportunities for publicity as certain milestones are reached.
We can provide you and your staff with lots of volunteering opportunities, where you can take on team-building exercises which also benefit the hospice and our patients. For example, one year a local company provided staff who worked to help spruce up our gardens. They all enjoyed working outdoors, and working together with colleagues they might not otherwise spend time with. Another company offered manpower to redecorate the inside of one of our shops. There is a broad range of opportunities, each offering many chances for excellent exposure for your company, and benefits to your staff too.
