North Devon Hospice Team

North Devon Hospice is run on a day-to-day basis by a team of over 100 staff and a network of nearly 400 volunteers.

The senior management team oversees all aspects of hospice operations. They are:

Gordon Lester - Chief Executive
Mary Ryan - Medical Director
Richard Kane - Director of Patient Services
Sam Husband - Director of Finance
Hugh Thompson - Director of Funding
Catherine Faulkner - Human Resources Manager

There are also many heads of departments who look after certain areas of the hospice including:

John Fletcher-Cullum - Clinical Nurse Manager - bedded unit
Angela Jones - Clinical Nurse Manager - community team
Mandy Redgrove - Emotional and Spiritual Support Manager
Roger Dickinson - Support Services Manager
Theresa Yeo - Housekeeping Manager
Barbara Andrew - Volunteers Manager
Sarah Vingoe - Health & Safety Manager
Leo Cooper - Communications Officer
Ali Hunt - Community Fundraising Manager
Chris Prideaux - Database Manager
Mike Penny - Lottery Manager
Jane Scott - IT Manager
Bridget Knowles - Shops Manager
Jane Kingsley - Finance Manager

All decisions about the governance of the hospice go through a board of trustees. Our trustees are a dedicated group from various professional backgrounds who give their time freely to help make sure North Devon Hospice remains a centre of excellence for care in the area. Our trustees are:
