Terms and Conditions
We will only confirm course registration upon receipt of a completed booking form for a named delegate. Until such time course place requests remain provisional and therefore may be subject to cancellation.
For Courses run in conjunction with a third party such as Petroc or the University of Plymouth, their booking terms and conditions must be adhered to.
- TERMS OF PAYMENT
Payment can only be made using an authorised credit card at the time of the transaction or by invoice where cheques are made payable to North Devon Hospice. Receipts for payment are provided in electronic format.
For programmes with course fees, invoice payment terms are 30 days from date of invoice or at least 10 working days before the start of the course, whichever is sooner. For fully-subsidised courses invoice payment for cancellations are 30 days from date of invoice.
If any information that you have given to us proves to be incorrect, which has resulted in our not charging you the correct fee for the courses that you are buying, we reserve the right to adjust the fee (upwards or downwards) so that it is the correct fee for your circumstances
- TRANSFERS AND CANCELLATION OF TRAINING COURSES
Delegates may transfer their registration for one course to another course up to 14 working days prior to the original course date. Once a delegate has transferred no refunds can be made for the cancellation of either course. Only one transfer by any delegate may be made. A named delegate may be substituted for another from the same organisation without notification.
If you cancel a Training Course: - all cancellations must be made no later than 5 working days before the start of relevant Training Course. We will only accept cancellations that are made in writing via email to firstname.lastname@example.org . If a delegate fails to attend a Training Course, or a cancellation is sought within the 5 working days prior to the start of such course, full payment will be required. Where the course is fully subsidised by the North Devon Hospice, an invoice for a cancellation fee of £25 for half day and £50 for full day courses will be issued, for payment within 30 days.
Refund Policy: if a refund is approved, it will be made through the original mode of payment only. Deposits for Outreach sessions and Study Days will not be deposited without an unapproved cancellation.
If we cancel a Training Course, or change course content: - we reserve the right to cancel a Training Course at any time, without incurring any additional liability to any delegate. In such circumstances, we will offer alternative dates, a full refund or a credit note.
Training materials circulated pursuant to the curriculum of that training course remain the property of the North Devon Hospice.
Any information that is of a confidential nature, disclosed by the Hospice or any other attendees shall not be published or shared without express prior written consent. The North Devon Hospice encourage sharing of educational information only to those persons necessary for the purposes of the relevant training course and for enhancing performance of their duties and that of their peers.
- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
By attending the course, you acknowledge that all intellectual property rights in the Training Materials belong to the North Devon Hospice, unless otherwise acknowledged. These training materials may be used in accordance with this agreement, solely for the purpose of sharing your learning with your colleagues, you have no rights in, or to, the training materials other than to use them for this purpose.

- DATA PROTECTION
All information that we hold concerning you will be held and processed by North Devon Hospice strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 1998.
- OUR RIGHT TO VARY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS
We have the right to revise and amend these terms and conditions from time to time.
