Retail Assistant Volunteer - Braunton Hospice Shop

We currently have a vacancy in our Braunton Hospice shop and we would love to hear from you if you have a passion for sustainable fashion and a keen eye for detail.

If you have ever been in one of our shops and thought you might like to think about doing something similar, now is your chance. These vacancies don't come along very often in our Braunton shop. As a Retail Assistant Volunteer, you would be processing sales, meeting and greeting our customers, accepting donations and helping to keep our hospice shop open.

You do not require any previous experience as full training will be given although an interest in sustainable fashion would be desirable. You will be joining a really friendly and supportive team and you can join our amazing team of volunteers and enjoy the the many health benefits of volunteering; such as improving your physical fitness, improving your memory and overall wellbeing. You may also enjoy learning new skills or boosting your self-confidence. You will gain a real sense of personal pride knowing you are doing something positive to support your local community.

Our retail volunteers provide vital support for our shop managers, helping to raise much needed funds, which is as important now as it’s ever been. We want the hospice to continue offering outstanding care & support to patients with life limited illnesses and their loved ones, we can only do this by keeping our shops open and with volunteer support.

The an invaluable service our volunteers offer us means we can keep our shops open and we simply couldn't be without them!

We recognise and award our volunteers once they have reached their milestone number of years' service.  You will receive regular newsletters, invitations to Deer Park and when circumstances allow, we host recognition and thank you parties at the hospice to celebrate and appreciate all of our volunteers.

You don’t need any previous experience to volunteer with us, we will provide free training, all we ask is a willingness to work as part of a team, a good sense of humour and bundles of enthusiasm. We do rely on our volunteers to keep our shops open so reliability is key. Reasonable travel expense may be reimbursed, once agreed with the shop manager, in advance.

Make time, make friends and make a difference.
