Have you ever thought of volunteering but didn't want to be in a shop or an office? Well perhaps this might interest you as our van crew are out and about the North Devon countryside come rain or shine. You will need to be physically fit and energetic as the role will involve heavy lifting at times but full health & safety training will be given along with other statutory required training.
There are many benefits of volunteering - volunteers can benefit from improved mental & physical health. Volunteering can help you learn new skills and/or develop existing skills, it can increase a sense of well being and purpose resulting in a greater self esteem and a sense of belonging whilst you know you are directly contributing to make a real difference to the patients and their families we care for.
Our van crew volunteers provide vital support for our furniture store delivery drivers, helping collect goods from customers homes and delivering items purchased from our furniture store all around the North Devon area.
You will be working with a friendly and hardworking team, helping our furniture store generate vital funds for the hospice. Please either complete and return the application form below along with the Equality Monitoring form or pop into our furniture store on the Two Rivers Industrial Estate to chat to Geoff our furniture store manager. We can often arrange a taster session so you get a taste of what the role entails before you decide to join the team.
Get inspired. Get involved. Get on the van!
