Our Facilities team currently have several different vacancies they are looking to fill, to support the small but industrious maintenance team that works tirelessly maintaining all of the hospice sites across North Devon. The roles are all based at Deer Park but may involve visiting some of our other sites across the region with members of the team.
Currently we are looking for individuals that have good practical skills with knowledge of decorating and/or general maintenance to assist with the ongoing general maintenance required to keep our shops looking their best, to ensure both the Long House in Holsworthy and Deer Park in Barnstaple are in good repair and decoratively appealing, and of course, making sure all of our premises are safe environments for our patients, their families, volunteers, staff and all of our visitors to enjoy. Ideally we would be looking for someone who is able to commit to a day a week to enable tasks to be completed in a timely fashion, if possible.
We are also looking for assistance, on a more ad hoc arrangement, with the logistics of hospice fundraising events such as delivering, setting up, taking down and storing any necessary event resources before and after the event. These can run over a couple of days but does not require a regular weekly commitment.
If you feel you might enjoy the challenge of rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck into a role with our Facilities team then please do get in touch. We may be able to offer taster sessions so you can get a real understanding of the nature of the role required, just get in touch so we can arrange this if required.
If you require further information on the above roles or any of our volunteering opportunities, please contact the Volunteer Office on 01271 347226 who will be happy to discuss our current vacancies in more detail.
