Are you looking to improve your CV for college, Uni or Job applications or maybe just looking for something new?
How about volunteering in your local hospice shop. It's a great way to improve existing skills or learn new ones. You get hands on, practical work experience and learn to improve your communication and time management skills, how to effectively be part of a team and we will train you in all aspects of your role for free. Volunteering with our Retail Team means you are directly contributing to the outstanding care and support our patients, their families and their friends receive. You will be helping to keep your local hospice shop open and generating the much needed funds, knowing what you do really matters to real people.
Our Ilfracombe shop is urgently looking for help to keep the doors open. Please get in touch so we can continue caring for the people of North Devon who need us. You can make a difference in your local community while making a difference in your own life.
The role involves processing sales, talking to customers and keep the shop clean and tidy. Full training will be given so you are confident in undertaking the role required. The many benefits include meeting new people, learning new skills, utilising existing skills, building confidence, updating your CV for college, Uni or job applications and becoming part of our fantastic hospice team.
Our retail volunteers provide vital support for our shop managers, helping to raise much needed funds, which is as important now as it’s ever been, so the hospice can continue to offer outstanding care & support to patients with life limited illnesses and their loved ones. Our retail volunteers provide an invaluable service that we couldn't be without!
You don’t need any experience to volunteer with us all we ask is your willingness to work as part of a team, your reliability along with a good sense of humour and bundles of enthusiasm. Once agreed in advance, reasonable travel expense can be reimbursed.
