Volunteer Retail Assistant - Warehouse 1

Are you friendly and outgoing?  Do you enjoy a fast paced, busy environment?  Would you like to give something back to your community?

If you answer yes to any of the above then we'd love to hear from you.

We are in urgent need of support at our central warehouse in Barnstaple on the Two Rivers Industrial Estate.

In Warehouse One our dedicated volunteers sort donated bric a brac and media donations, preparing them for sale in our shops across North Devon and in our various online outlets. The role also includes accurately processing Gift Aid details on to our online database to ensure we receive the maximum income from each donation.  It is a fast paced environment involving lifting, twisting and standing throughout the shift.

The many benefits of becoming a Hospice volunteer include meeting new people, learning new skills or utilising existing skills, and becoming part of our fantastic team.  Before you commit to anything a taster session will be arranged to ensure you fully understand what your role entails and to ensure you feel safe in the environment.

Our retail volunteers provide vital support for our warehouse and shop managers, helping to raise much needed funds, which is as important now as it’s ever been, so the Hospice can continue to offer outstanding care & support to patients with life limited illnesses and their loved ones. Our retail volunteers provide an invaluable service that we couldn't be without!

You don’t need any experience to volunteer with us as we will provide free training for you to fulfil your role. Willingness to work as part of a team, attention to detail and reliability are key, along with a good sense of humour and bundles of enthusiasm.  Once agreed in advance, reasonable travel expense can be reimbursed.
