Volunteer Sunday Roast Assistant

Are you outgoing with a friendly approach to meeting new people and looking for a way to support North Devon Hospice?   


The Terrace Cafe at Deer Park, Barnstaple is set in beautiful grounds with stunning views of the gardens and the Devon countryside beyond and our dedicated catering team are soon going to be launching our new Sunday Roast. 

Our Sunday roasts will be available every 3rd Sunday and the catering team are looking for additional support with meeting and greeting guests, setting the dining room and balcony tables, helping to keep the kitchen and dining areas clean & tidy and waiting on tables and ensuring our guests are warmly welcomed and generally assisting with the smooth running of lunch.  For further details please see the full role description, which details what the role involves.

Full training will be given prior to commencing your role and you will benefit by meeting new people, possibly learn new skills or utilising existing skills, and be working alongside our fantastic catering team as well as knowing you are helping your local community by supporting North Devon Hospice.

It is thanks to our amazing team of volunteers that North Devon Hospice is able to continue offering outstanding care and ongoing support to patients and their families across North Devon.

By submitting this application form to North Devon Hospice you are consenting to the processing and storage of your personal data in order that you can progress through our volunteer recruitment process. 

We will never sell your data however we are obliged by law to inform you that should we be required to we may share your data with external agencies. This may include but is not limited to Acevo / UCheck (a service for managing and processing Disclosure & Barring Service clearance applications) and other government agencies. We will also, as required, contact those individuals named as your referees to confirm your suitability for the role(s) you are applying for.  Your data will only be used for your volunteering role and to comply with our statutory and legal obligations.

If your application is unsuccessful we will retain your information for 12 months; after this date it will be safely destroyed.
