Who

Everyone can take part

Friday 30th April would have been Captain Sir Tom Moore's 101st birthday. Join in with people around the world celebrating Captain Tom's generosity of spirit and sense of fun by taking part in the Captain Tom 100.

Everyone – of all ages and abilities – is invited to take on a challenge around the number 100 any time and anywhere over Captain Tom’s birthday weekend, starting on Friday 30th April through to Bank Holiday Monday 3rd May.

That could be:

  • walking 100 steps
  • running 100 metres
  • scoring 100 goals
  • baking 100 cakes
  • climbing 100 stairs
  • hopping 100 laps of the garden
  • building 100 sandcastles
  • writing a 100-word poem
  • flipping 100 pancakes

...anything at all, inside or outside. We just want people to have fun and raise money to help local people.

There are no rules – apart from the Government guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time. This means we can all get involved with a marathon fundraising effort and raise funds from your very own living room, bedroom, balcony or garden to support local families who are being cared for by North Devon Hospice right now...

The Captain Tom 100 will launch on Friday 30th April 2021 – what would have been Captain Tom's 101st birthday -  and will end on Monday 3rd May 2021.

You, our amazing supporters, can dream up your very own Captain Tom 100, and raise money for your efforts by setting up an online giving page on JustGiving or Virgin Money Giving, or making a donation . Make sure to share your 100 on social media, using #CaptainTom100!
