With thanks to our Headline Sponsors, Slee Blackwell, and our other business supporters:

A massive well done to all those who took part in Nightwalk 2019. It truly was a night to remember.

Thank you to all the volunteers, helpers, entertainers and walkers who created such a magical atmosphere.

Now the hard work starts, as you aim to collect all your sponsorship and get it in to the hospice. Here's how to do it:

- Those with an online sponsorship page. If you've already set up a page on Just Giving or Virgin Money Giving, simply share your page again a few more times with friends and family on email and social media, to raise as much as possible. When the page closes, the money will automatically come to us

- Not done online sponsorship yet? If you haven't set up a Just Giving or Virgin Money Giving page yet, it's the easiest way to raise sponsorship for your efforts. Simply click here and choose North Devon Hospice as your chosen charity. Again, once you've shared the page with your friends on email or social media, the funds raised will automatically come to the hospice.

- Collected money. If you've taken a sponsorship form round in person, now is the time to hold people by their ankles to collect their promised donations! (only joking, it not's that hard). Once you have collected all the sponsorship money, you can drop it to North Devon Hospice (Deer Park, Newport, Barnstaple, EX32 0HU), or you can send in a cheque for the amount raised. Don't forget to include your sponsor form though, because then we can claim gift aid and boost your donations by 25%!

- Been fundraising? Many people choose to hold a little fundraising event instead of raising sponsorship, such as a raffle at work or a quiz night at the local pub. If you've done this, simply collect the money and drop it to North Devon Hospice (Deer Park, Newport, Barnstaple, EX32 0HU) or send a cheque for the amount you've raised. Don't forget to tell us the names of the Nightwalkers who've helped raise the money, so we can record their contribution.

- Prefer a donation? Many people prefer to simply make a donation instead of raising sponsorship or holding a little fundraising event. That is totally cool. Simply call the fundraising team with your card details on 01271 347232, or click this link and complete the donation form online (make sure you tell us your donation is linked to Nightwalk). It takes two minutes, and then you're done!

Every pound you raise makes a massive difference. Last year only 60% of Nightwalkers raised money for their walk (surprising, right!). Imagine what we could do if 100% of people who took part in this year's Nightwalk contributed towards the cause! It would mean we could provide a whole lot more care to those who need it. THANK YOU!

Thank you so much to photographer Maddie Meddings, who captured some amazing images from the night. They show what a truly memorable occasion it was. Check out the full album and tag yourselves here.

This year marks the 35th anniversary of North Devon Hospice. We first started caring for local people in 1984, which is why this year's Nightwalk is going all-out 80's. We want to celebrate this special 35th anniversary year by holding a Nightwalk party to remember!

We’re calling on 1,500 women to get behind the hospice, have some 80s fun, and together raise over £100,000 for our hospice night nurses.

Since 1984, we’ve helped tens of thousands of patients and their families at the most difficult points in their lives. Help us be there for the next 35 years, as we look to raise vital funds for North Devon Hospice. Every penny raised by our Nightwalkers will make a massive difference.

The ladies from headline sponsors, Slee Blackwell, are among the first to sign up and rock out their Nightwalk t-shirts. They are ready to #partylikeits1984!

Enjoy our Tarka Trail route with 80’s dance routines, DJ’s playing non-stop 80s hits to keep your feet – and the party going. We’ll also have Babycham refreshment stations, dance cameos, 80s stiltwalkers and 80s choreography with our  Glowstick dance troupe to give an incredible display. It’s time to ‘boom boom shake the room’.

So come on ladies, let’s make this a special 80’s night to remember. After all, it would be 'gross' not to!

There is a route for everyone at Nightwalk 2019. We have walks of varying lengths, with start points across North Devon, allowing even more women across the area the chance to take part. Choose from:

Barnstaple to Bideford (11 miles)
Bideford to Barnstaple (11 miles)
Instow to Barnstaple (7.5 miles)
Instow to Bideford (3.5 miles)
Torrington to Bideford (7 miles)

The routes all take place on the Tarka Trail, with it's amazing scenery and views of the rivers. The beautiful vistas on offer as the sun sets will only be matched by the vibrancy of the ladies taking part who will light up the Tarka Trail in the dark.

Transport will be provided back to your starting point once you have finished your walk, courtesy of Stagecoach. So all you have to worry about is your outfit for the night!

Nightwalk is a sponsored walk. The sponsorship raised by those taking part is what helps North Devon Hospice care for local people. So, once you have signed up, the really important work starts. Last year only 54% of walkers raised sponsorship, so this year we could double the total amount raised for the hospice if every lady taking part in Nightwalk got behind the cause.

It's so easy to do. Choose from the following three ways in which you could quickly and easily raise so money for taking part in Nightwalk:

1 - SET UP AN ONLINE FUNDRAISING PAGE. Click here to visit Virgin Money Giving and create your page in just a few easy steps. Send it round to your friends, family and colleagues, using facebook, twitter or email. You'll be amazed at how quickly you reach £50 or £100.

2 - DO IT FACE TO FACE. When you register, we'll send you a sponsorship form which you can pass around to those closest to you. Fundraising face-to-face is a great way of doing it, because people will understand exactly why you are doing this and will support you. You'll hit your target in no time at all.

3 - HOLD A SMALL FUNDRAISING EVENT. Run a raffle at work, or a pub quiz down your local. Often people prefer to do this rather than asking people for sponsorship. Again, you'll find support easy to come by as it's for a respected local cause. When you register we'll send you some tips to help make this easy peasy.

With thanks to our headline sponsors, Slee Blackwell, and our other business supporters.
