In addition to being there for your emotional wellbeing, we also offer a range of complementary therapies for our patients. During the coronavirus pandemic, we are still caring but we have had to put these sessions on hold for your own wellbeing. However, we do have helpful information from our Complementary Therapy lead, Mellow Moments with Mandy, on the One Day at a Time section of the website. Here you will find a range of relaxation and self-care tips and techniques you can try at home.
Complementary therapies aim to treat the whole person, not just their symptoms, and can help sustain them during their illness. These therapies are known to help relieve aches and pains, as well as providing some time and space to think and relax in the comfort of a safe and secure environment. We have complementary therapy rooms at Deer Park and The Long House, all of which offer a sanctuary away from the business of the world outside. From our therapy rooms we can offer a range of treatments, including aromatherapy, massage and reflexology.
