Thanks for your amazing response, the event was a complete sell-out! We look forward to seeing you next year, but in the mean time please enjoy these great photos from the 2012 event.

Man Trek is a brand new event for the blokes of North Devon. Join us on Sunday 10th February 2013 for a sponsored walk along the Tarka Trail, arriving at Barnstaple Rugby Club to watch the England v Ireland Six Nations game on big screens. This promises to be a fantastic men-only day out, so please sign up online NOW to be part of the fun and do your bit to support North Devon Hospice.

This event has been created by popular demand, particularly from husbands and boyfriends who have seen their other halves take part in Nightwalk (our ladies-only sponsored walk). People have been asking us for something for the guys - and here it is! Please find all the details you will need below, as well as the online sign-up form. If you have any questions, please call Gerard Fawcitt on 01271 347224 or email gerardfawcitt@northdevonhospice.org.uk. Thanks.

Walk image for web You can choose from either an 11-mile or a 7-mile walk. The 11-mile route will start from Bideford Rugby Club, making it's way along the Tarka Trail, and you will need to register at the club at 11.00am. The 7-mile route will start from Instow Yacht Club, joining up with all those who have starting from Bideford, and you'll need to register at the Yacht Club at 11.30am. Walk with family, friends or workmates.
Pasty image for web At Fremington Quay Cafe you will be treated to a free cuppa and a free delicious hot pasty, courtesy of Blackwells of Bideford. There will also be live music to keep the party atmosphere going while you enjoy your pasty, which should give you the energy for the final push to Barnstaple!

Having walked all those miles, you'll be welcomed into the Barnstaple RFC clubhouse with a well-earned free pint of St Austell beer!

Rugby image for web At Barnstaple Rugby Club, you can enjoy the England v Ireland Six Nations match on a number of big screens (3pm KO), enjoying the big game atmosphere with hundreds of fellow Man Trekkers. The bar will be open throughout the day, and hot food will also be available to purchase, so you can really make a day of it!
Small Print image for web All walkers must be 16 years or over. Please choose your route (11-mile or 7-mile) carefully, as it could be a cold February day and we want to make sure you complete the walk comfortably. Man Trek is a sponsored walk in aid of North Devon Hospice and we know you will want to raise as much sponsorship as you can. You could even choose to put on your own small fundraising event to raise money (such as a quiz in your local), or you might fancy getting a company team together and raising funds with the backing of your employer. When you register, we'll send you lots of fundraising tips and ideas to make it easier.
