Fantastic range of furniture, homeware, white goods and small electricals
North Devon Hospice have opened a brand new furniture store in Barnstaple, offering shoppers quality new and pre-loved goods at great value prices. As well as furniture, the new store on Two Rivers Industrial Estate also offers homeware, white goods and other electricals, with all proceeds helping the hospice to care for patients and families in North Devon.
The charity says that the new store is a great chance for local people to find an unexpected bargain, while also supporting local people affected by a life-limiting illness. “I’m sure that everyone will be pleasantly surprised by the great range of stock we’ve got,” said Geoff Edwards, the store manager. “We’re really pleased to be offering local people fantastic furniture as well as lots of other items for the home. Everything is great value and of course all the proceeds go to North Devon Hospice. So each purchase will help our doctors, nurses, counsellors and therapists provide essential care and support to people right across North Devon.”
In total the hospice has 12 charity shops across North Devon, which make a big difference to the local charity, helping to raise around £1.2 million each year to support the care and support provided.
The site at Two Rivers Industrial Estate, on Braunton Road, is big improvement on the hospice’s previous premises, with more room on the shop floor as well as ample parking and space to collect donations. Geoff said, “We’re really pleased to have more space in our new furniture store, because we can showcase an even bigger range of stock, meaning there is so much more on offer to our customers. The new store is also really easy to find, because we’re just off the new Barnstaple bridge, right on the main road with plenty of parking outside. It is a real improvement and we can’t wait to welcome the community to come and have a look.”
Officially opened this weekend, the store will be open 6 days a week, Monday to Saturday from 9.00am to 4.30pm.
Geoff said that the hospice’s delivery service gives yet another reason for local people to check out the store. “We can deliver items that have been purchased direct to your home, so it makes sense for you to come and check us out before you go to the chain stores. Because we’ve got white goods, homeware and electrical goods we can be your one-stop-shop. Not only will you be picking up a bargain that you won’t find elsewhere, but every pound spent will make a difference to local families facing the toughest of times.”
North Devon Hospice’s new Furniture Store can be found on Braunton Road, Barnstaple, between Glow Maternity and Ireland’s Motorcycles, on the Two Rivers Industrial Estate.
