Charity shops are renowned as places to find hidden treasures. But for North Devon Hospice’s shop in Braunton, the secret of their treasures is well and truly out, thanks to an amazing range of Wedding and Occasion Wear, which returns this month following a successful debut last year.
Shop Managers Yvonne Salmon and Emma Ingram have put together a collection that offers something for everyone with a formal function to attend in 2017.
Yvonne said that people travelled from far and wide to grab a beautiful bargain last year. “Last year we launched the first ever Wedding and Occasion Wear collection and we had people coming from Exeter and beyond to find themselves the perfect outfit. It was such a success that we’re doing it again!” she said. “A whole area of the shop is dedicated to Mother-of-the-Bride outfits, Bridesmaid dress, evening gowns and Prom dresses, with prices starting from £8! There is also a wide range of shoes and handbags starting from £3, so you could get a complete outfit for less than £20! For this reason, we don’t expect these items to hang around for long, so please come and see us soon otherwise that perfect dress may have already flown off the rails!”
Emma added, “We haven’t forgotten about the guys either. There is a great range of men’s dinner suits and occasion suits as well as shirts and waistcoats. So rather than spend a small fortune for items that may end up being worn once, come and see us on Caen Street in Braunton where you can not only save money but also support your local hospice.”
All proceeds from North Devon Hospice’s Braunton shop help the charity care for local people. “We are so grateful to all those who have donated such stunning items for our occasion wear section. Every pound spent in the shop ensures the hospice can support patients and families who are facing the impact of life-limiting illnesses like cancer. Your support really does make a difference and any further donations to our collection will be gratefully received.”
