Bideford Soapbox derby is an annual community event held on Sunday 6th July in the heart of Bideford North Devon. The soapbox team’s raise money for the Bideford soapbox derby’s chosen local charity which for 2025, is North Devon Hospice. Each team build their contraptions and design and mould them in to marvels that the spectators see on the day.

More than 40 teams will line up on the grid in Formula 1-themed races for the Bideford Soapbox Derby on Sunday 6 July.
Racing starts at the top of town at the Pannier Market, racing down to Greenville Street, hard right to High Street with a big finish left on the quay. The Quay will be filled activities, entertainment and local food.
The event is free to attend for spectators but donations to North Devon Hospice are welcome.
