To provide outstanding care and support to the community of North Devon who are impacted by a life limiting illness.
Would you like to develop your skills and knowledge in palliative an end-of-life care? We have an opportunity for a Bank Staff Nurse role in our Bedded Unit Team. We are particularly looking for applicants who would be willing to offer the full range of shift cover, including night shifts.
The hourly rate will be £18.10 per hour plus an additional payment of £2.18 an hour in respect of holiday pay that you accrue during the time you work (total £20.28 per hour) plus enhancements for weekends and public holidays.
Shifts available will include:
Early 7.30am-3.30pm
Late 1.30pm-9.30pm
Long Day 7:30am-8.30pm
Mid Shift 10:00am-6pm
Night 8.00pm-8.00am

About the Role
Our nursing team are proud to support and care for patients and their families at their most difficult and vulnerable time. Our highly committed multi-disciplinary team of staff and volunteers, work seamlessly together to provide care of the highest standard.
Our bedded unit receives referrals for patients needing support for various reasons including symptom control, rehabilitation following treatment or care in the last days of life. Our specialist medical team provides round the clock care and support to our patients in the comfort of a welcoming and homely environment.
Those wishing to apply for this role will:
• Hold a registered nurse qualification with current NMC registration.
• Be able to provide evidence of continued professional development.
• Post registration experience in end of life care, palliative care or a related field is desirable, however, those who are successful in being recruited to the role will be supported to develop specialist palliative care skills.
• Understand palliative and end of life care nursing issues and patient pathway.
• Be Self-motivated and have the ability to work autonomously.
• Have a demonstrable commitment to person centred care as well as be sensitive and caring
• Be flexible in order to meet the changing demands of the service
