Our Mission is Simple
To provide outstanding care and support to the community of North Devon who are impacted by a life limiting illness.
We’re committed to delivering outstanding care and support to everyone across North Devon who is impacted by a life limiting illness. Together we can make a real difference. We’re proud to support patients and their families at their most vulnerable times, offering compassionate dignified care when its needed most. Our aim is to enable more people who wish to remain at home to receive care in familiar surroundings, supported by family and friends.
Working as part of a community team covering the whole of North Devon, you’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across a range of teams and organisations within the locality to support people in their own homes.
You’ll be able to demonstrate experience in managing a caseload within a community setting and have a strong foundation in symptom management. While working within a close-knit and supportive team, you’ll also show confidence and autonomy in your practice. A commitment to person-centred care and evidence-based practice is essential. If you’re not already a non-medical prescriber, full support will be provided to undertake the required training and achieve registration.
For candidates without previous specialist palliative care experience, a tailored induction and training programme will be provided. We actively support continued professional development and encourage all team members to pursue learning opportunities that support their growth and development.
