Are you looking for something a little different? Fancy learning new skills or putting your skills to good use? Whether you have experience or not, we’d love to have you on board!
As an electronics tester, you’ll be helping us test our generously donated electrical goods. From pre-loved mobile phones to gaming systems and everything in between, you'll ensure they are ready for their new home.
No experience needed – just a can-do attitude and a dash of enthusiasm. Training & support is provided.
What’s involved:
This role involves testing donated electrical items, such as mobile phones, DVD players and gaming systems, to ensure they are in working order and that any personal data has been removed before they are listed for sale on our online platforms. No specialist electrical skills are required, as all items will have already been PAT tested. Full training and guidance will be provided. You’ll also support staff as needed whilst maintain a clean and safe working environment.
A taster session will be arranged once we receive your completed application, giving you the opportunity to meet the team and get a feel for the role.
Hours available:
Volunteer shifts are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with either morning or afternoon sessions to choose from.
Every single one of our volunteers helps us provide outstanding care and support to the community of North Devon who are impacted by a life limiting illness. We really value the time all our volunteers give to us, and you will be making a real difference to our patients and their families at their most vulnerable time.
