What are we looking for?
We’re looking for Retail Volunteers who can bring smiles and a sprinkle of fun to the day, along with a helpful attitude, a willingness to learn and a desire to get stuck in! Retail experience? Great! No experience? No problem—we’ll train you.
What’s in it for you?
You’ll be part of a friendly, welcoming team where you can make a real difference, learn new skills or share the ones you already have, meet and great people, and help raise vital funds for local hospice care.
What might you be doing?
You’ll spend your time chatting with customers, answering telephone enquiries, and helping to arrange delivery and collection bookings where needed. You’ll also handle donated items and work on the till, helping to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone who visits.
Most importantly, you’ll play a key part in keeping the shop buzzing, looking great, and supporting local hospice care
What do we need from you?
We’re looking for someone with a friendly, positive attitude who enjoys helping customers and working as part of a team. Reliability is important, so we ask that you commit to your agreed shift, letting us know in advance if you can’t make it. A willingness to learn, work as part of the team, and help create a tidy, welcoming shop is important, along with a commitment to supporting the hospice’s values and mission.
A taster session will be arranged once we receive your completed application, giving you the opportunity to meet the team and get a feel for the role.
Hours available:
We currently have volunteer opportunities on Wednesday from 8am to 12pm, Saturday from 8am to 12:30pm, 12:30pm to 4pm, or all day, and Sunday from 10am to 1pm, 1pm to 4pm, or all day. Whether you can give one shift a week or more, we’ll work with you to find a volunteering pattern that fits around your schedule
