Evans Transport has shown their incredible generosity, raising an impressive £4,750 for North Devon Hospice, at its recent Charity Golf Day. The event, which has become a much-loved fixture in the company’s calendar, brought together colleagues, customers, and friends for a day of golf, fundraising, and community spirit.
This latest donation brings the total raised by Evans Transport since the Charity Golf Days began in 2015 to an outstanding £19,750 a testament to the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting the hospice and the vital services it provides.
The partnership between Evans Transport and the hospice is rooted in a deeply personal connection. Over the years, members of the Evans Transport family have experienced first-hand the care and compassion of the hospice, inspiring the company to give back in a meaningful way.
"On behalf of Evans Transport, organising this charity golf day for North Devon Hospice means so much to all of us. The hospice has touched the lives of so many within our community—including our own families and friends—and we’re incredibly proud to give something back. This event is our way of honouring the care, compassion, and comfort they provide every single day. We hope it not only raises vital funds but also brings people together in support of a cause that is truly close to all our hearts." James Corry (Commercial Manager at Evans Transport)
“We are truly thankful for the unwavering support Evens Transport provide.” said Claire Paine, Business Relationship Manager at North Devon Hospice. “Not only do they raise vital funds, but they also help spread awareness on the importance of end-of-life care in our community. The generosity and hard work that goes into their Charity Golf Day makes a real difference to the lives of those in our care.”
The funds raised will help North Devon Hospice continue to deliver specialist care and emotional support to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses.
Evans Transport’s Charity Golf Day is just one of the many ways local businesses can get involved in supporting hospice care. The hospice encourages anyone inspired by their story to consider hosting their own fundraising event or partnering with them in the future.
