Time is running out for thrill-seekers, fitness fanatics and fundraisers to register for North Devon Hospice’s iconic Commando challenge, Mission: Unbreakable, with entries closing on Sunday 27 September at midnight.

Taking place on Sunday 4 October 2026, this gruelling yet exhilarating tough-mudder style event takes place in North Molton and will see hundreds of determined participants take on more than 30 obstacles each designed with 24 Commando Royal Engineer Regiment based at RMB Chivenor. From the infamous ‘Sheep Dip’ to mud-soaked crawls, wall climbs and everything inbetween, the course is built to test strength, stamina and teamwork, all while having fun and raising vital funds for North Devon Hospice.

“Whether you’re experiencing Mission: Unbreakable for the first time or are a seasoned ‘Unbreakable’, we can’t wait to welcome you on to this year’s course and watch you conquer every obstacle with the biggest smile on your face!” said Georgia Bedgood, Events Manager at North Devon Hospice. “Not only will you have great fun taking on this challenge but you’ll also feel the greatest sense of achievement knowing that by taking part in Mission: Unbreakable, you’ll have helped hundreds of families get the vital care and support we all deserve at the end of our lives.”

While Mission: Unbreakable is a physical challenge for many, the sense of camaraderie and community spirit felt on the day is something that makes this much-loved event incredibly popular among participants of all ages and fitness levels.

“I take part in Mission: Unbreakable every year and I enjoy it just as much now as the first time I did it!” said Ian May, a local hospice supporter. “It’s always such great fun and a lovely way for me to give something back to the hospice after they supported my grandfather and several close family friends in their final days. The care they received both at home and at the hospice was exceptional and something that my family and I will always be grateful for. Really, completing Mission: Unbreakable is just a drop in the ocean in comparison.”

With just days left to register, the hospice are urging anyone thinking about taking part in Mission: Unbreakable – sponsored by headline sponsor Wollens - not to miss their chance. Whether you’re taking part with a team or alone, Mission: Unbreakable offers an unforgettable experience for a truly worthwhile cause.
