Our hospice is a place of care, compassion and kindness. We want everyone who comes into contact with us - patients, families, carers, visitors, volunteers, staff, customers and members of our community - to feel welcome, valued and treated with dignity and respect.
We recognise that coming to a hospice can be an emotional and difficult experience, and we understand that people may sometimes feel upset, frustrated or overwhelmed. We will always try to listen, understand and respond with compassion.
We have a responsibility to create a safe and respectful environment for everyone. We therefore ask that everyone treats others with kindness and respect and avoids behaviour that could cause harm, distress or offence.
This includes violence, aggression, threatening or abusive behaviour, harassment or discrimination, including behaviour relating to any protected characteristic. We also ask that everyone helps us maintain an environment that is free from sexual harassment and other inappropriate behaviour.
