Helping create a beautiful environment for our patients and families
With the gardens at North Devon Hospice we try to create a tranquil and welcoming environment for our patients and their families. You may be surprised to know that they are maintained primarily by volunteers.
From pruning, planting and weeding to clearing the pond. You name it, they get stuck in! There's great variety in our gardens, so they appeal to a wide variety of interests and working in them can be a rewarding way to share your love for horticulture. Our team of volunteer gardeners are supported by a Head Gardener, so even if you are a novice you can help out and learn from each other.
