Preparing food and serving customers in a care environment
The Terrace Cafe is at the hospice and is the hub of the building, where patients, volunteers, family members, staff and visitors can enjoy a cuppa or a meal.
Volunteers are an important part of the smooth running of the Terrace Cafe, ensuring customers have delicious food in a welcoming and friendly environment. The volunteers help with taking orders, manning the till, preparing ingredients and providing great customer service.
The kitchen team also provide home cooked meals for those on the Bedded Unit. Volunteers will liaise with patients and the kitchen team to ensure they have the nutritious meal they would like.
