North Devon Hospice serves the area's palliative care needs with its seven bedded in-patient unit and day provision, and through its team of clinical nurse specialists. The hospice finds over three quarters of its annual £5.5m running costs from public donations and the revenue generated by its trading activities; with the remainder funded by the local Clinical Commissioning Group (NHS). The staff are complemented by an enthusiastic cohort of volunteers.

We are looking for additional energetic and committed people to join our team of voluntary Trustees. The Trustees determine the strategic direction of the organisation and ensure that the charity effectively uses its resources to achieve its objectives. The Board of Trustees meets formally four times a year. We are seeking Trustees who are prepared to join these meetings and get to know the hospice as it looks to develop its services within the community and build on its strong relationship with the NHS.  If you are looking to join a team to lead one of North Devon's essential charities, we look forward to hearing from you.
