Supporting patients in their homes
Our Community Support Volunteers play a vital role in supporting our patients at home.
Our Community Support Volunteers are out and about visiting local people in their own homes to give carers a well earned break. Knowing there is someone at home to look after your loved one for a few hours each week can make all the difference, and that is where our team come in. This role can vary day to day, it might be that they provide company for the patient at home by talking and listening, reading books or the newspaper, or it may just be sitting with them if they are asleep.
