During the coronavirus pandemic, we are still caring but we have had to put these sessions on hold for your own wellbeing.
During the year we run bereavement support groups for those who are grieving. Each group is facilitated by two counsellors and meets every week for six weeks. It provides a confidential, safe place where people can share experiences and feelings as they adjust to life without the person who is important to them.
Once the facilitated group has ended, it is not uncommon for members of the group to continue to stay in touch with each other.
How to be referred
If you would like to access any of North Devon Hospice's care and support, please ask your GP for a referral to North Devon Hospice. If you are already accessing support from us and you are interested in attending the next bereavement support group, please speak to one of the team involved in your care.
The bereavement support groups are run from our main site at Deer Park, which is on the outskirts of Barnstaple.
Transport For those who would find it difficult to travel to our main site at Deer Park in Barnstaple or The Long House in Holsworthy, our team of volunteer drivers are usually available to provide transport. All our services, including transport, are provided completely free of charge.
